The moment I said it,
The moment I opened my mouth
Lead in your eye lids,
Bulldozed the life out of me
You're scaring me
You're scaring me to death
Don't - (SMASH)
I'm losing you, I'm losing you
You're gonna throw it all away
With no hesitation
Don't - (SMASH)

Bye -

Today we had training.
Today we had a better-than-usual training.
Shiqian and I trained till 630 :) Handsome 4-hr feat :)
We did jumps, runs, circuits, boundings, frog leaps and ankle power :)
But it felt good and wasn't that tiring, although my triple jump distance has dropped right into the gutter

I'm staring at the asphalt wondering, what's buried underneath?
Indie is killing

If I could open my arms
And span the length of the isle of Manhattan,
I'd bring it to where you are
Making a lake of the East River and Hudson
If I could open my mouth
Wide enough for a marching band to march out
They would make your name sing
And bend through alleys and bounce off all the buildings.

I wish we could open our eyes
To see in all directions at the same time
Oh what a beautiful view
If you were never aware of what was around you
And it is true what you said
That I live like a hermit in my own head
But when the sun shines again
I'll pull the curtains and blinds to let the light in.

Sorrow drips into your heart through a pinhole
Just like a faucet that leaks and there is comfort in the sound
But while you debate half empty or half full
It slowly rises, your love is gonna drown

Your love is gonna drown

OSL Selection Camp (16-17.03.06)

We had some games and lots of crap in the 2 days. Talk about eating uncooked noodles, anchovies, brocolli and cabbage - how revolting. They really didn't need to consider the quality of FOOD as one factor for selection did they. To their further delectation, cooked chicken and eggs were served to them while they watched over our burning mastins in a much-like cookhouse of a ghetto. So that was probably the worst part of it.

Another was THEM making absolutely caustic remarks from dawn to dusk, and that went utterly unacceptable at around 3.45am on Friday. The time for freedom-of-spitting-profanities-as-obnoxiously-as-you-can-to-vilify-those-useless-vermins. And what do most of us do? Be acquiescent about it even if you have that overwhelming urge to vomit your guts right toward their sordid faces.

The 2nd day was relatively better, or maybe they were just exhausted from all their slanderings. Oh how sad.
Time to go home, and it's really bliss to be in Elysium, finally.

Guilt in my head
Hath been parted by grace by the voice of an angel
Revealing her face
And her words they make sense and I do understand,
Falling in love isn't part of a plan
Forces within me, mix reason with lust
But I try to accept it and not make it worse
Cause I know I might lose you by taking the chance
But love without pain isn't really romance

This is the start.

Wow the last two days visiting SMU and NUS are nearly as exhausting as school, but at least I gained a wider range of understanding on university courses and more. Some of the students can really bring out that desire to learn more and just jump straight into further studies. But I still have a long 4 years to go, who knows what'll happen 4 years later. The lectures and seminars were insightful all the same, it's some opportunity to learn something in holidays, at least not pertaining to the jejune sec sch education system.

Believe the open door to that cold room would have someone exit it so that I can fill(feel) the warm space, and it sure is a treasure.

Life is a road now and forever wonderful journey

YAY let's rejoice for this precious milli-second!
Finally, some time to relax for abit.
YAY BMT is over, the relatively noisy family is back.
No more free rooms.

Swim Carn: Tarbet got 3rd. What a drop from champs. The rankings are topsy-turvy I'm quite sure most of the points were lost because of mass swim.
But we shall at least win 100m B Div during the sports fest :)

Clean your conscience, clear your thoughts with speyside.
Salt, sweat, sugar on the asphalt.
Our hearts littering the topsoil.
Tune in and we can get the last call.
Our lives, our coal.

Its the last week of Term 1. What a time to throw in summative assessments, stripping us bare of any form of a merry time. Teachers are such sadists; we are the masochists.
The thoroughly worn-out stage is setting in, feeling like skipping lessons, sleeping through them, or just punching a bag full of expletives into any random snot.

And as much as I'm looking forward to a sham(e) break in the March holidays, it'd most probably be another taxing 7 days where 'fun' fails to be rediscovered, again.

I could actually start another biased debate on the insipid education system but ohwell, you'd never know it might turn into a fiasco. I guess my view on us treated more like victims than students will stay.

we are all just prisoners here of our own device

Post no.444.
Touchwood.
This week wasn't as bad as I expected.
Could be a minor 'hell' week, but preparing for the worst helped. There were two tests, the normal ground negative trainings (what a pain and all my shame), and a massive load of homework.

The only song which has a better live version is Hotel California (Eagles).

White/Silver pinstripes on black is gorgeous.
Get that.
Anyone, ANYONE, even a moronic muskrat-looking fellow who wears a shirt like that will get my fullest attention.
Now what about a burning flaming scorching beefy person with it
I'll just go OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG and hyperventilate.

school is such a PAIN in the stomach.

1. the lessons go on and on, and on counting down till the end of the lesson, we do realise that there's about exactly 55mins left.
2. after rejoicing on the end of the long wait to recess, we do realise that each stall queue is about 15 people long
3. teachers try to FIND a space in OUR test timetable to fit their OWN test in
4. get 17/40 and everyone around you say that they flunk their own test
5. stare blankly at the incomprehensible writings of the teacher teaching the most obnoxious subject in existence, and ACCIDENTALLY hear someone in front pressuring him to move faster on the topic and stop digressing
6. quite a reasonable number of teachers find pleasure in gloating at weaker students

7. social studies: "exam-beaters (top students) don't seem to turn out as world-beaters (i.e. top scientists, entrepreneurs etc), and that many famous world-beaters are 'coincidentally' school/universtiy dropouts (e.g Bill Gates & Steve Job)". looking up from the ss article, I see 27 other heads buried in it, seemingly not comprehending that exam-beaters refer to THEMSELVES.

And now you can tell me if I should drop out of school. Which straight-A student is going to be a Singaporean version of Bill Gates?
A teacher: Anyone of you want to be a scientist in the future?
Response: None
They still think that exam-beaters are clever (where did ALL the IQ go?)
"America rewards talent, while Singapore rewards exam grades" - (omg I want to marry this journalist)

This still goes to show how MUCH social studies students learn during social studies.
If you are not aware by now, I'm a strong opposor of the "exam-beater/3.8 gpa" mentality.
Okay, applaud those who fly to Ivy League Universities and land a job as a government official or diplomat, whatever. They won't be labelled as world-beaters anyway, and there in America where the Ivy League people do come from, dropouts will relax behind their billion-dollar bank statement and give you a hearty laugh.
